Darren Gaeta Recognized on CRN’s 2021 Channel Chiefs List

Today, I’m honored to be named on the Channel Company’s 2021 list of Channel Chiefs for the second consecutive year. The Onapsis channel team and I are proud to share this recognition with the rest of our partner community.

CRN’s annual Channel Chief accolades are awarded to prominent leaders who have influenced the IT channel with cutting-edge strategies, programs and partnerships over the past year. It’s a notable honor, comprised of top channel executives who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, influence, innovation and growth for IT channel networks.

Almost a year ago, we launched The Onapsis nCase Partner Program with the goal of reaching strategic system integrators, managed security service providers (MSSPs), technology alliance partners and value-added resellers (VARs), and it’s been a momentous year. Onapsis’s partners gained access to the company’s specialized knowledge base, expertise and insights to gather best practices for ensuring the availability, security, and compliance of mission-critical applications. They gained actionable information about the key quality, security and compliance issues that need to be addressed during SAP S/4HANA projects and cloud migrations for SAP and Oracle. The formalized program provided our partners with validation on our partnership.

This year, my team and I established The Onapsis Platform as one of the first cybersecurity and compliance platforms to become an SAP Endorsed App. Now available on the SAP App Center, SAP customers have the ability to address security and compliance with confidence and easily for sound digital transformation initiatives. Onapsis also developed a strategic partnership with Optiv, joining Optiv’s Authorized Partner Program as a top platinum partner, marking Onapsis as one of only four vendor partners involved. Additional partnerships helped build the Onapsis technology alliances ecosystem, which continues to grow as more cybersecurity vendors want to partner and integrate with Onapsis. These integrated partnerships provide a full portfolio of product and service solutions to help even more SAP customers become cyber resilient with Onapsis.

This past year was full of unplanned changes. Like many corporations, Onapsis was faced with the challenge of doing business in a virtual world, and transitioned to an entirely remote taskforce. We lost the ability to meet face-to-face with our valued partners and customers. One constant remained true and apparent; our partnerships were irreplaceable, and arguably, more valuable than ever before. By quickly adapting and remaining connected, Onapsis was able to stay focused and committed to our mission and showcase our ability to pivot the power of relationships within our partner ecosystem by showing commitment to protecting the most mission-critical applications.

Working with global system integrators for more than 21 years, I’ve discovered and learned the ins and outs of channel partner success. As I reflect on the last year and this special recognition, I look forward to endless possibilities with Onapsis. I believe the key to success for channel partners in 2021 will be to overachieve stretch goal revenues. My team and I plan to do this through training, enablement, and driving more global system integrators to build out their own Onapsis practices with dedicated resources to drive revenue. We also expect to expand the partner footprint with EMEA and APAC channel directors, who will  assist in building out and covering the expanding global Onapsis nCase Partner Program.

If you’re a cutting-edge integrator, VAR, MSSP, OEM or vendor who wants to grow revenue and provide increased customer value through mission-critical application security, please reach out to the Onapsis channel team or myself—we would love to partner with you.

CRN’s 2021 Channel Chiefs list will be featured in the February 2021 issue of CRN Magazine, and online here.
