Starting October 2024, the NIS2 Directive will go into effect imposing stricter cybersecurity regulations across the EU.
What’s Changing?
The NIS2 Directive expands upon the original NIS Directive of 2016, which addressed EU security shortcomings. NIS2 strengthens the requirements to further enhance the security, resilience, and incident response capabilities of both the public and private sectors. Stricter fines and penalties will be enforced for non-compliance.
