Tim McKnight
Operating Partner at SYN Ventures & Former Chief Security Officer of SAP
- Tim boasts a 30+ year career as a security professional and business executive in government service and the private sector. Prior to joining SYN Ventures, Tim served as EVP & Chief Security Officer of SAP, where he shaped the company’s security strategy, positioning SAP as a recognized and trusted leader in the industry. In his role, he implemented global security policies and managed cybersecurity initiatives.
- He began his career at the FBI as lead investigator of National Infrastructure Protection Center matters. He has held leadership positions for a number of top companies such as Thomson Reuters, GE, Fidelity, Northrop Grumman, BAE systems and Cisco. Tim has served as Chairman of the ISA, and his influence extends to academia, where he taught digital forensics at Georgetown University. He serves on security advisory boards for Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Tenable and is an Advisor to the Director of the NSA.
Mariano Nunez
CEO & Co-founder of Onapsis
- As CEO and Co-Founder of Onapsis, Mariano drives the strategic direction of the company. Under his leadership, Onapsis has become one of the fastest-growing technology and cybersecurity companies in the world.
- With 20+ years of experience in the cybersecurity industry, both as an executive and as a cyber security expert, Mariano was the first to publicly present on cybersecurity risks affecting ERP platforms and how to mitigate them at major conferences such as RSA, Black Hat and SANS. Mariano’s contributions to the cybersecurity community include developing the first open-source SAP and ERP Penetration Testing frameworks, and uncovering critical zero-day vulnerabilities in SAP, Oracle, IBM, and Microsoft applications.
