I’m pleased to announce that today we’re kicking off our third annual Onapsis Roadshow series in North America. With the major developments SAP cybersecurity has seen over the past few months, I feel like our roadshows could not have come at a better time.
Since our last roadshow series, we’ve been engaged in numerous conversations about new and evolving challenges affecting organizations such as migrating SAP to the cloud, aligning CISO’s with Internal Audit Teams, and continuing to stay ahead of evolving threats in a shifting landscape. As a result, a major focus of this year’s roadshow series will be to collaborate on how organizations can better align to tackle these issues and ensure that their SAP systems are properly protected.
Migrating SAP to the Cloud
When it comes to migrating SAP solutions to the cloud, it seems that most organizations we’ve talked to are lacking a comprehensive cybersecurity program. Cloud implementations are a tricky process, and require security to be top of mind from even the very early planning phases. Unlike transitioning other business applications to the cloud, there is no singular model for what SAP cloud security looks like. During our roadshow series we will discuss foundational elements for building a comprehensive cybersecurity program for migrating SAP to the cloud.
Aligning CISO’s with Internal Audit
CISO’s are often faced with competing priorities when it comes to giving SAP cybersecurity the attention it deserves. Compliance with internal audits often escalates a project’s priority, forcing CISOs to put resource-intensive internal audit requests ahead of security-focused initiatives necessary to keep pace with the rapidly-shifting threat landscape. Due to the critical nature of SAP systems, its applications are the target of numerous industry standards and regulatory demands such as PCI, NIST, SoX and beyond. Learn in this session how some CISOs have found the perfect balance and been able to achieve compliance while not compromising security.
Staying Ahead of Evolving Threats
It is no surprise that the threat landscape for SAP is constantly shifting and evolving. As the SAP cybersecurity market continues to grow, threat actors both inside and outside organizations are developing advanced methods for gaining access to critical information and processes stored in these systems. At our roadshows, you’ll hear from our Research Labs on the latest vulnerabilities facing SAP, with focus on SAP HANA.
Our roadshows will be taking place in the following cities:
- April 25, 2017 - Houston, TX
- April 27, 2017 - Bay Area, CA
- May 2, 2017 - Chicago, IL
- May 4, 2017 - New York, NY
- May 23, 2017 - Philadelphia, PA
Our roadshow series are specifically designed for security practitioners to collaborate with InfoSec, Internal Audit, and SAP security industry professionals. These events are tailored to develop a user community to discuss how enterprises can implement long-term solutions for aligning SAP Security, Audit and BASIS teams to proactively protect their business-critical applications. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear directly from their peers, as well as Onapsis customers, about security challenges that have effected their organization’s business-critical application security, and will gain insight to how those issues were overcome, and what can be expected for the future.
Being part of a forward-thinking, vibrant community is the best way to achieve success in a constantly evolving industry such as cybersecurity. We’re looking forward to the many great conversations and collaborations that will take place during the next several weeks. Hope to see you there!
