SAP SRM – Information Disclosure in SRM Live Auction

Impact on Business

An unauthenticated attacker can access sensitive system information over the network. This information disclosure could provide an attacker with details about the system’s configuration, versions, and environment, which could be used to plan further attacks. This has a low impact on the confidentiality of the system and its business applications.

Vulnerability Details

A specific component within SAP Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) Live Auction allows unauthenticated attackers to gather sensitive system information. By accessing a specific endpoint, an attacker can retrieve detailed version information, system identifiers, and operating system details. This information can be leveraged to extend the scope and knowledge for an attacker, facilitating further reconnaissance against the target system.

Solution

SAP has released SAP Note 3578900 which provides patched versions of the affected components.

The patches can be downloaded from https://me.sap.com/notes/3578900.

Onapsis strongly recommends SAP customers to download the related security fixes and apply them to the affected components in order to reduce business risks.
